Our guest house offers the best oportunity to learn how a hotel life works, such as we are in a small city - we live here wihtout any stress and hektic. We need support in our guest house, mainly with cleaning, washing and ironing and assisting guests with check-in and working at the reception. Intern will lern: hyguenical rules at hotels, iffiently to plan and organize the cleaning prozess, hospitality anf communicate with guests, how to work with chanel maneger and booking platforms.  
Working hours daily from 11 to 15, possibly an additional 2 hours in July. 
The guest house is very small, there is one apartment and 7 rooms for rent with shared bathrooms. We can offer one of the rooms for staying for free. 

Posibility to join language courses from 8-11:40. Bicicle is availible.

As an intern in our Mobility Unit, you will:
- get involved in the back office management of student mobility throughout all its phases (application, selection, nomination, grant and learning agreements, transcript of records, etc)
- provide direct support to the students through mail and front office services
- work on the improvement of our communication processes
- help us organize events and promote a mobility culture
- support the implementation of innovative mobility programmes
- learn to work in a vibrant and dynamic office environment
- develop your intercultural and digital competences

According to the Unit’s need you may be assigned to a specific working team.
We require a good command of English (C1) and a basic knowledge of Italian ( at least A2).
Good teamwork and IT skills are considered an important asset.

We are  looking for students or recent graduated eager to gain experience as assistant in a Museum famous because guarding a manuscript considered as one of the most precious in the world, inscribed by the Unesco in the "Memory of the World" list in 2015.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will support the museum staff in various activities such as:

-  managing the museum during opening hours

-  staffing the ticket office, bookshop and other facilities

- assisting visitors;

- run guided tours within the museum in english and native language

- supporting educational activities, presentations and workshops,

- translating, brochures, catalogues and museum information in native language

- create and develop educational resources for visitors, schools, families and special interest groups

- collaborating in the organitazion of events as seminars, conferences, exhibition. 

SKILLS
You'll need to have:

- educational background in history, art  and cultural heritage or related disciplines 
- Experience in managing educational activities with children and teenagers
- Creativity  to develop new art initiatives and workshops 
- Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in written form with visitors of different ages, interests, and backgrounds.
- self-motivation and ability  to work independently as well as effectively in a team setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as the Internet for research.
- Proficiency with digital technology and social media, mobile devices and other relevant media.

WHAT TO EXPECT

- You'll typically work 22 hours per week, with flexible shifts of 3-4 hours per day.

Responsible for assuring a friendly welcoming and great atmosphere in the Lounge and Reception area all the times
• The FO Host or Agent is responsible for assuring that The House of Sandeman guests have the best experience and for assisting them to take the best advantage of their trip to Porto
• Responsible and accountable for all FO functions & activities related to guests and necessary coordination with the departments of The House of Sandeman and allied areas

MICRO LEVEL
• Performs check-ins and check-outs
• Ensure that all concerned departments have the guest history information.
• Recommends/ suggests the best activities according to guests’ profile and preferences
• Assessing customer preferences and making food and drink recommendations.
• Assist all activities and breakfast time in the Lounge Area.
• Promote different activities and enhance the guest experience.

Hauptaufgaben:
