Who We Are: GFC is a grassroots, non-profit organization striving for a diverse and inclusive society in Cyprus. We support and empower vulnerable and marginalized communities, including refugees and people of low socioeconomic status, and advocate for social justice in migration, human rights, and interculturalism.

Your Role: As an ESC participant, you will contribute to our mission, gain lifelong skills, and experience Cyprus’ diversity. You will work within our three pillars: Humanitarian Aid, Empowerment and Integration, and Awareness-raising - Advocacy and Interculturalism.

Encontros da Imagem Cultural Association is looking for an intern to join the production team of Encontros da Imagem International Photography and Visual Arts festival. 

Founded in 1987, the festival is the second oldest photography festival in Europe, annually welcoming international and Portuguese artists to exhibit in the cities of Braga, Porto, Guimarães and Barcelos.

The trainee will have the opportunity to participate in several aspect of the Association's activities, with the main tasks relating to the festival:
 

- Assisting the Executive producer

- Assisting with Digital Communication (social media, photography, videography)

- Production of exhibitions (framing, packing, assembly)

- Guest relations (Welcoming and assisting guest artists and groups)

The trainee will also participate in the activities of the Association’s gallery space Galeria da Estação, as well as the Archive.

The intern will be trained for all tasks, so don’t hesitate to apply even if you’re experience is outside the field!

Above everything else we are looking for a quick learner with a healthy amount of common sense, who supports and respects their team members.

Who you are:

Project: “Technical Assistance to the EU Indonesia Cooperation Facility (EUICF)"
EU Indonesia relations are based on the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA), in force since 2014 and the first with an ASEAN country, which serves as a platform for dialogue on Political Affairs, Trade , Security , Human Rights , Environment Climate Change , and Development . The PCA sets out to strengthen the bilateral EU Indonesia relationship and to promote cooperation in all sectors of mutual interest. Indonesia’s long term economic growth and employment are closely linked to the sustainable management of natural resources and country objectives on greenhouse gas emissions as well as the protection of maritime and terrestrial biodiversity , including forests; action priorities for bilateral cooperation between EU and Indonesia are based on the current country’s economic context, and will ensure synergies with other EU thematic strategies such as the European Green Deal and the Global Gateway.
The overall objective of this Facility is to enhance the EU Indonesia partnership and 4 specific objectives are identified as below:
1)Continue and reinforce EU Indonesia relations and policy dialogues
2)Promote and increased alignment between EU Indonesia interests , principles, policies, and values, including human rights and gender equality , with a particular focus on the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals 
3)Build increased public awareness, understanding and approval of the EU and its role in Indonesia
4) Enhance climate, biodiversity and environmental management , mainstreaming and monitoring, as well as conservation, sustainable, management use of restoration of
natural resources.

The trainee will be included in the project's team with a particular focus on objective n. 4, working mainly with the senior expert in sustainable environment.

Main tasks to be performed:
• Provide regular assistance to the project management and expert team;
• Fulfil everyday assignments i.e. contributing preparation of the written outputs, presentations, Progress reports, social media management, events organization, etc.

The trainee will by hosted by an international consulting company based in Malta, but operating globally with clients and projects in over fifty-five countries. The vast majority of the company's work is related to the marine and aquatic environment, encompassing aquaculture developments, market research and intelligence, through to project feasibility assesments, finance acquisition, project management technical support and training.

The trainee will provide regular assistance to the company's department, especially with regard to this specific project (but not only).
