Get Creative by the Sea!!!
Do you want to work creatively by the sea? Bella Vista Hotel and Studios is a well-established hotel situated on Benitses Beach, on the beautiful island of Corfu, Greece. You'll receive free accommodation, a mouth-watering buffet breakfast, and a home-cooked Greek lunch every day of your summer internship. In return, you'll be working on a special marketing project which requires you to use your digital illustration skills and the Endless Paper app (available only on iPad, so you MUST have this).
If you've seen the Infinite Zoom trends on TikTok and Instagram, you'll know what we're talking about (if not, check out @jesse_martin_ on Instagram!). Bella Vista Hotel is dedicated to creative marketing, and you'll be leading the charge with this innovative new technique, creating illustrations that can be zoomed inwards infinitely to advertise the hotel, the island, Greek food, and the lifestyle in Corfu. You'll also have the chance to pitch ideas and let your creativity flow freely.

The work hours for all interns are as follows: 40 hrs per week, 5 days on 2 days off.
What to Expect
Most interns that work at Bella Vista are in the hospitality or tourism industry, however we offer some more creative internship roles too, like this one.
In general, the summer internship program at Bella Vista Hotel provides students with practical, hands-on experience and exposure to the workings of a small enterprise in the hotel industry. In this case, you'll have an inside look at how such an enterprise operates from a marketing standpoint. For those specifically looking for hotel internships, you couldn’t get much better. Through this work practice, students have the chance to gain first-hand experience in hospitality, management, tourism and entrepreneurship. Summer internships in Greece don't get more hands-on than this.
Throughout your Erasmus internship, students will meet other international interns and make new friends and connections. The emphasis of the placement is on hotel management and entrepreneurship, and to provide knowledge to students in a relaxed environment.

Work Breakdown
Hotel internships will usually involve the following:
- 50% of your work hours will be spent working with food, beverage, and hospitality, such as waitressing, food preparation and assistance, serving and cleaning tables, etc. (in the breakfast room and bar), as well as working on reception, guest relations, or working with reservations and various organisation platforms.

50% of your work hours will be spent in digital illustration and marketing. Online tasks may include Facebook marketing, promotions and updates, creating content for Instagram, TikTok and other social channels, and replying to guests in guest review channels like TripAdvisor, etc.
Note: Specific marketing internships like this one may involve more time dedicated to your speciality. However, please note that you are applying to work in a hotel and some form of hotel assistance will most likely be required. Be prepared to be hands on!
Work shifts are based around 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. These can be day, evening, night. They may be continuous shifts or split shifts (meaning you can go to the beach in between work!).
During the spring and autumn seasons, tasks are geared towards Sales, Online Marketing and Social Media.
An Overview
- Working hours: A total of 40 hours per week.
- Accommodation: Free shared staff accommodation provided.
- Food: Free breakfast included and 6 home-cooked lunches per week
- Finance: Applicants for the summer internship are encouraged to apply for European financial support such as Erasmus or University support, and any other means of private funding for this work practice.
There are no transportation costs to and from work.The summer internship is valid for a period from three (3) to six (6)+ months, depending on individual circumstances.
Requirements:

You must be over the age of 18 years

You must have a relevant educational background in Business, Tourism, Hotel, Management, or Marketing (art + illustration included)

You must possess good language skills. English is essential, but another language is important as we have international guests (the majority of our guests are English and Italian)

You must be attending a European school/university

You must possess a European passport, OR, for non-Europeans (native Russians and others), you will need a visa D.4.3

You will need university and/or work references

You must be able to quickly adapt to new cultures and be open, friendly, and have a flexible attitude
