Demos Helsinki is an independent not-for-profit think tank and a community. We want to lead societal transformations for a fair, sustainable and joyful next era. For this purpose, we conduct research and offer consulting services to governments, international organisations, companies, foundations, cities and other partners in Finland and internationally. Our internship programme has been an essential part of our community for nearly 15 years. Our interns have an important role in both sharing new thinking and perspectives on our existing ways of working, and contributing to our work as team members. Our teams work on different areas of societal change, and within each team there is a range of opportunities to contribute to impactful projects in those respective areas.

Based on your experience and goals, you will be able to take part in a manner that matches your interests and capabilities. During your internship you will join one of our teams, have a dedicated mentor to support you getting the most out of your time with us, and fellow interns for that extra peer support.

As a lab assistant you will work in a small team dedicated to the discovery and development of pharmaceutical formulations. You run the daily operation of the lab, such as technical assistance, administrative, and daily operational tasks. About the Program:  We have 43 internships between 6 and 10 months located at one of our key hubs in The Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal. Our internship opportunities start from either 1st March or 1st September with the start date being dependent on the timeline to secure the required security clearance to work within the NATO community. During an internship, you will join and support different teams and simultaneously learn from our business experts via on-the-job training and working on purposeful projects or initiatives during your tenure. Eligibility Criteria:  To be eligible to apply to our internship program, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• You are a national of a NATO member country

• If selected to be progressed to the first stage evaluation this will consist of logical and numeracy exercises in addition on a variety of on-demand video questions aligned to the requirements of the internship

Compensation:  You will be compensated at a fixed taxable monthly salary (variable per country location), based on 38 hours of work per week and for travel expenses.
