Management and Economics

This role is a unique opportunity for ambitious interns to collaborate with a network of international academics from Cyprus University of Technology, University of Glasgow, and University of Cambridge among others, in research projects that fall within the sphere of Competitive Strategy. Nanotechnology Research (micro-project for PhD students)

This is a rare research opportunity to participate in a world-class cutting-edge research at Queen's University Belfast or Ulster University. Internship on Neural Networks implementation

Aims

The internship project will help in development, implementation and evaluation of Artificial Neural Networks in System-on-Chip applications. During the project the candidate will get practical experience in neural network design, hardware acceleration and machine learning applications.

Tasks

The candidate will be responsible for testing, evaluation and modification of artificial neural networks intended for System-on-Chip implementation and applied for practical tasks.

The Team

This project will be conducted by a team of GPDS laboratory at the University of Valencia.

GPDS research group is active in fields of neural network applications and hardware acceleration.

Candidate profile

  • To have a MSc degree or be in the final year of Computer Science, Electronics, Physics or Applied Math MSc program.
  • This internship is intended for students applying to an Erasmus Internship program at the home University, from which a scholarship is granted.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Neural Networks.
  • Knowledge of data processing methods and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of algorithm complexity theory and computer architecture.
  • Solid Matlab/Octave skills or similar CAS.
  • Solid skills in Python, C, C++, Java or other popular PL.
  • Knowledge of FPGA and HDL languages will be a big plus, but not necessary.
  • Enthusiastic, creative and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Systematic approach.
