Interns at Ekkisens join Freyja Eilíf, an independant visual artist and owner and the director of Ekkisens Art Space in her work, managing events at Ekkisens, supervising events the art space, installing work, bulding art work, assisting artists who are exhibiting at the space, watching over exhibitions and etc. Internship at Ekkisens offers various oppertunities in the midst of the lively emerging Icelandic art scene.

Your profile:

• 3D artist/designer
• Student at Bachelor's or Master's degree program
• Passion for creating 3d art.
• Knowledge/experience with Blender, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine or Rhino (more application softwares – better)
• 3D scene, prop, and/or character modelling and texturing
• Interest in web technology, 3D on the web, and Mixed Reality (VR & AR)
• Basic web development skills (Javascript, HTML, React, A-Frame a plus.)
• Low poly modelling and optimizing models for mobile or VR.
• Experience with the gLTF scene format and publishing 3D content on the web (Sketchfab, Google Poly, etc.)
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Curious, proactive and open-minded
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to maintain project confidentiality

Mission:

• Producing communication desigend content for CRU Creative Hub and its related projects

Global Description:

The main purpose of this internship is to help in the CRU’s communication by designing digital and physical posters for communicating events, preparing templates for social media, creating signs and visual information for our space, and other communication materials.

CRU is a creative hub, that includes a community of 35 creative professionals, events, a designer’s store and workshops, which gives you the opportunity of getting to know national and international creatives and increase your personal and professional skills.

Profile of the Candidate:

• Communication Design graduation (or similar);
• Experience in Design of communication materials - digital and physical

The AquaBioTech Group actively encourages students and post-graduates to undertake training sessions at our company so as to gain valuable practical, applied and hands-on experience. We offer a minimum of four (3) months duration. Interns receive no remuneration.
