As we are the second generation that continues the family tradition of creating boat trips, we want to grow and develop, and bring our services closer to new, younger generations who we believe could learn a lot from us, and we also believe we can learn from them.

This year we decided to take a new step forward, refresh our team, and offer students from all over Europe a professional paid internship with included accommodation during the summer season of 2024 in our beautiful Medulin at the workplace of a sales representative.

What are our expectations?
To begin with, communicative skills and an expressed desire to improve sales skills.
Knowledge of English language level B2 and German language level B1, knowledge of other foreign languages ​​Hungarian, Czech, Romanian, Italian is an advantage.
Positive approach in working with people, motivation and collegiality.

We are a team of English teachers who are very committed to the education of our students. We teach students in compulsory secondary education and baccalaureate (from 11 to 18 year-olds)
We would like to have the presence of auxiliary staff to help us improve the oral communication skills of our students.
In exchange, we offer our professional experience, and we put at your disposal our human team to collaborate in your training to become educators and teachers. 

Your position will be to help English teachers to improve oral communication skills: mainly speaking and listening.
We use a variety of active methodologies, focused on our students, and we incorporate games, music and learning corners in our classes.

Responsible for assuring a friendly welcoming and great atmosphere in the Lounge and Reception area all the times
• The FO Host or Agent is responsible for assuring that The House of Sandeman guests have the best experience and for assisting them to take the best advantage of their trip to Porto
• Responsible and accountable for all FO functions & activities related to guests and necessary coordination with the departments of The House of Sandeman and allied areas

MICRO LEVEL
• Performs check-ins and check-outs
• Ensure that all concerned departments have the guest history information.
• Recommends/ suggests the best activities according to guests’ profile and preferences
• Assessing customer preferences and making food and drink recommendations.
• Assist all activities and breakfast time in the Lounge Area.
• Promote different activities and enhance the guest experience.

El principal trabajo del interner será la atención al cliente desde nuestra oficina, en el centro de la ciudad. Organizamos excursiones y viajes para estudiantes Erasmus y peregrinos. Por tanto, el interner trabajará con este tipo de clientes, intentando venderles las excursiones, registrando a los clientes en nuestros sistemas de datos, etc. Todas las tareas típicas de una oficina como gestión de correo, atención al cliente, distribución de folletos, redes sociales, gestión de medios sociales, recopilación de datos, etc.

We offer the possibility of carrying out an internship as an English teacher to our students (3-16 years old). We need to cover, above all, the section of conversation, oral skills and communication in English.

We cannot offer financial compensation of any kind, but we can offer you the acquisition of experience as a teacher. We can prepare a report or letter of recommendation at the end of the internship period. If necessary, we can also prepare a document that will help you validate your internship at your university.

School hours are from 9am to 1pm and from 3pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday, from October to May. Internships require full schedule of dedication and commitment to attendance and academic responsibility.

We prefer all the school year in order to ensure the achievement of the main objectives, but you can come for one term, two terms or the entire school year from September to June, whatever suits you best.

The Col·legi Montserrat is located in Cerdanyola del Vallés, a small city 20km away from the capital Barcelona, in Spain.

UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) University is located in our city, Cerdanyola del Vallés. That's the reason the city is used to welcome many international students annually. For this reason, there is a variety of offers of accommodation and lodging at affordable prices, it would be quite easy for you to find to find somewhere to stay while you do your internship at our school. Unfortunately, from the school we can’t help so much in this issue.  

Cerdanyola del Vallés is well connected with the great city of Barcelona by road and also has a good public transport network to the city of Barcelona. Our school is about 8 minutes walking from the train station. Trains pass every 8-10 minutes at rush hour and it takes about 25 minutes by train to get to Barcelona city center.
