Cyen is looking for a policy & compliance trainee to join our team and support our work!
Cyen is a cybersecurity consultancy, founded in 2018 in Brussels, Belgium. We provide our clients with the latest intelligence and professional advice and help them build and execute a winning cybersecurity strategy.
Cyen empowers students and recent graduates to acquire the necessary skills to join the job market. Ideally, you should be a Master’s student in the field of political science, law, international relation, business studies, European studies (list is not exhaustive). Experience and interest in digital transformation and/or cybersecurity is an advantage.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Support the team with the preparation of background documents on compliance with relevant existing and upcoming cybersecurity legislation
- Support the draft project proposals, communication materials and policy documents
- Support the team with strategies how to best meet clients’ needs
- Ensure project planning is well defined and followed
- Use research skills and support our team with up-to-date information on relevant cybersecurity news and stakeholders
- Help the team with other administrative tasks such as presentations’ improvement, text editing, online events administration
We also offer hybrid working conditions: you will be able to work from your home even if based in Brussels. You will be encouraged to proactively use your networking skills and attend (cyber)security events & meet with (cyber)security practitioners and policymakers.
Duration: Ideally 5 months (April onwards). But we are very flexible on the dates.
Skills:
Required:
Knowledge or interest in EU policies, and in specific, cybersecurity rules.
Ability to work independently, being proactive, sociable and fun to work with.
Desirable: being passionate about all-things cybersecurity, technology & AI trends
Languages:
Proficiency in English required. Other EU languages are a plus
