IT, Web Developer Intern
Position Title: IT Intern
Location: Valencia, Spain or Remote
Position Summary:
- Join the Product Management group as an IT intern.
- The internship is expected to last a minimum of 2 months, subject to change.
- Assist in responding to cyber incidents and analyzing security using tools.
- Contribute to developing strategies for software systems, networks, data centers, and hardware.
- Work independently or collaboratively as required.
General Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users.
- Address IT-related inquiries and help desk tickets.
- System Administration:
- Aid in maintaining and managing computer systems and networks.
- Participate in regular system checks and updates.
- Software Development, Installation, and Updates:
- Assist in installing, configuring, and updating software applications.
- Ensure software licenses comply with organizational policies.
- Test, deploy, fix, and enhance software systems.
- Recommend and implement improvements.
- Documentation:
- Develop and update technical documents, procedures, and user guides.
- Maintain an organized inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Collaboration:
- Work with IT team members on projects and tasks.
- Contribute to team meetings with insights and input.
- Collaborate with other departments for problem-solving and knowledge exchange.
- Active Directory Administration:
- Support Active Directory services administration and maintenance.
- Manage user accounts according to established policies.
Skills and Experience:
- Comfortable with self-motivated remote work.
- Currently a rising senior or junior at an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of coding languages (e.g., C++, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g., AngularJS, Git).
- Ability to adapt to new languages and technologies.
- Resourceful with strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of network devices, firewalls, and general network architecture.
- Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic grasp of IT concepts and principles.
- Eagerness to learn and a keen interest in technology.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java.
