English Language Assistant (Primary & Pre-school Education)

ACTIVITIES TO BEING INVOLVED FOR THE INTERN:

 

1. Linguistic support in the classroom in sessions dedicated to conversation in English Language and Science mainly for primary and pre-school stage. 

2. Making monologues from the point of view of photos, telling stories of the stories of the people who will be coming from UK, besides stories for the kids from early stages in primary.

3. Sessions of conversation with small groups  based in Cambridge exams.

4. Supporting tasks from the “International Department”, looking for the design of projects which will be involved in the internationalization of the centre.

5. Possibility to making small teaching projects in English Language in specific contexts of contents inside the program of the english subject. 

6. Routine and activities with the students in our greenhouse.

7. Sharing time with students in the playground using IT devices making learning into an experience plenty of motivation through videos, podcasts, papers, etc. 

8. Teaching their own culture and traditions from UK to all the education community, district and neighborhood. 

9. Drama, theatre and improvisation with kids and adults. 

10. English clubs and English Coffees in the afternoon opened to all the people from the neighborhood.

We are looking for to provide all our education community (students, parents, staff, etc) help improvement better for the labour market and make the most of available opportunities. Every citizen should have the opportunity to acquire al least two foreign languages, from an early age. We need to break the main barrier to participate in European education, training and youth programs. Also we will promote equity and inclusion by facilitating the access to participants with disadvantaged backgrounds and fewer opportunities compared to their peers.

Traineeship on comparative study of apprenticeships

We are looking for an Erasmus+ trainee to work at the University of Oxford Department of Education on an international research project on apprenticeships that aims to link the apprenticeship provision with countries’ economic and social development and involves putting together a global database and using appropriate cross-sectional data analysis methods. The Principal Investigator of the research project is Maia Chankseliani, Associate Professor of Comparative and International Education.

The traineeship can last from a minimum of 9 months to a maximum of 12 months (the start date and the duration are negotiable). The trainee must

  1. be a master’s or doctoral student or a recent graduate in any social science discipline from a higher education institution holding an Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education (the list of these available from: https://eacea.ec.europa.eu/erasmus-plus/actions/erasmus-charter_en)
  2. possess excellent writing skills in English
  3. have excellent quantitative data analysis skills
  4. be highly motivated and proactive
