Role
This is an exciting role for an enthusiastic scientist interested in antibody expression and cell line development to assist this expanding company. Working within the Antibody Therapeutics division, you will be involved in cell line development for stable cell lines overexpressing therapeutic antibodies. The role is suitable for a candidate with experience in mammalian tissue culture techniques, flow-cytometry, single-cell cloning, expression characterisation, and molecular biology.  The successful candidate will acquire a broad range of skills and expertise in various techniques using cutting edge instrumentation and is guaranteed a fulfilling and challenging learning and working experience with this innovative host

Tasks 
 Mammalian cell culture for both adherent and suspension cell lines
 Recombinant antibody expression in mammalian expression systems
 Expression characterisation by flow cytometry, HPLC, and ELISA.
 Generation of stable, clonal mammalian cell lines using limiting dilution and cell sorting instrumentation e.g. FACS
 Screening platform development for identification and characterisation of engineered cell lines

Desired Skills 
 Working towards a degree in biochemistry, molecular cell biology or related life sciences
 Some direct laboratory experience relevant to biological R&D, either academic or industrial
 Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills
 Very strong focus on generating high-quality data and with meticulous record keeping/data recording
 Able to routinely follow written and verbal instructions, often in the form of Standard Operating Procedures ( S.O.P.s)

 Individuals should be enthusiastic and be able to contribute actively to the team setting
 Diligence and an analytical mindset are essential for methodical working and recording and analysis of data
 Team player who understands the importance of their role within the group and strives to work harmoniously with other members of the team.
