Team/division description
PE Systems is one of the teams within the Information Technology and Digital division at Toyota Motor Europe and face the Production Engineering division and Manufacturing environment.
PE Systems support a connected environment which includes; Implementation of IoT infrastructure and use case integration, Centralised maintenance management (Maximo), and machine spare parts systems.
PE Systems additionally  implement computer aided design and engineering tools, including simulation and project lifecycle management software (PLM),  to support manufacturing project implementation by PE.

Your project
Working with PE Systems members, you will be able to make a strong personal contribution in delivering the conversion of IoT use cases, at the European manufacturing centres, into predictive insight solutions. Key work streams being Maintenance and Quality.

Using Python (knowledge of R language will be an advantage) you will have the opportunity to perform analysis of collected data and develop appropriate data science solutions supporting integration and deployment on the TME IoT platforms.

The role includes developing and making practical proposals of management principles and standards to proceduralise data science support and execution around the TME IoT platforms.
Additionally, you will also work on the standardization TME internal processes for data science (i.e. how can business make a request, how it is handled…)

Your profile
You have a keen interest in the shop floor manufacturing process and it’s relation to the role of data in all it’s forms.
You like analysing data to get additional insight.
You are capable of technical communication with vendors, and evaluation of connected technology streams, from manufacturing floor to data insight delivery.
You adopt a clear communication style which is effective at different levels, with the ability to visualise, simply, complex topics to communicate key points.
You don’t hesitate to independently propose solutions or alternative approaches based on overall experience or topic knowledge.
