Division information:
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.

Your project:
You will contribute to Toyota’s powertrain development for the European market by supporting evaluation of engines for Hybrid Electric and Conventional vehicles. The project’s focus is to study possibilities to increase our test capabilities in Europe by analyzing efficiency gains and improving data processing during engine evaluation. You will perform engine testing on test facilities in cooperation with technicians. You develop new and existing tools to improve our data processing and analysis capabilities during those  tests.  Your outcome will increase the efficiency of future evaluation projects in Europe.

Your profile:
• University student with at least 2 yrs of study already completed.
• You have a European EEA citizenship. (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium)
• You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
• Open personality and able to work independently with a hands-on mentality
• Fluent in English  (reading; writing; speaking)
• A passion for data processing and machine learning tools
• Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a clear and visual way
• Practical experience with internal combustion engines is an asset
• Appreciated specific computer skills: Python, Matlab, Diadem, Access, Visual basic…
