Team/division description

This basic principle for us is called: “KAIZEN” (“continuous improvement”) and is what guides us in our pursuit of best Quality and the delivery of unparalleled customers satisfaction.
Customer Vehicle Quality is a vibrant and energetic team (25+ peoples), consisting of many nationalities from within Europe, as well as Japan. Our primary role is to detect quality related concerns and to resolve them (EDER: Early Detection Early Resolution) mainly focussing on the European markets. Additionally we also support markets where our European assembled vehicles are exported to, including countries within northern Africa.
We are responsible for the coordination of the countermeasure and repair activities of the quality related concerns through cooperation with the involved parties (R&D, In-House Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, Suppliers, etc.). We will guide the team to achieve further improvements of our vehicles. By this, we will be actively contributing to increasing the number of Toyota fans.
Your project
You will be assigned to support “Connected Vehicle Data Usage for EDER and EDER Kaizen project” in the Powertrain team.
1) Support Powertrain team with utilization of connected vehicle data for 1.5L engine Initial Quality Activity (IQA). Regularly monitor and analyse relevant data as well as identifying improvement opportunities for system tools and operation processes. Discuss and agree possible improvements as part of cross-divisional working group.
2) Support our EDER Kaizen working groups by reviewing and confirming the effectiveness of the proposed processes with internal / external customers and translate possible C/Ms into clear flowcharts / standards to ensure easy deployment to Customer Quality members.
Additionally, you will be able to join our engineers to experience the Toyota technical problem solving activities.

Your profile
• Student of technical higher education or Bachelor / Master studies in IT, Engineering (mechanical, electrical, automotive…) or Business
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in order to reach consensus and get buy-in in an clear but diplomatic way
• Good visualization skills to be able to structure operations, processes, responsibilities etc. in an easy to understand way
• Good fact finding and analysis skills in order to draw conclusions from the gathered data and information
• Good personal organization competences in order to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Initiative to question the current situation and propose alternative options
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of Power BI, Python, etc. is an asset.
• English (good spoken and written knowledge), Any other European language and/or Japanese is an asset.
