Division information:
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.

Your project:
With increasing  electrification  in  the  automotive industry, electric motors play a crucial role in future  powertrains.  PT-MBD  (powertrain  model  based  design)  department  is  responsible  to develop tools to predict e-motor behaviour for design assessment, optimisation & evaluation.

Your project is investigation of e-motor critical points & corresponding simulation methodology.
- Understand different aspects of e-motor: cooling, surge, durability, …
- Research & survey of EU methodology to simulate above aspects: universities, engineering companies, software providers, publications, OEMs, …
- Summarise, conclude & report survey results.
- Run possible simulations to evaluate MBD concept & methodology.
- Documentation: regular internal/external presentation, report.

Your profile:
• University student with at least 2 yrs of study already completed.
• You have a European EEA citizenship. (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium)
• You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
• Open personality and able to work independently in a multi-cultural business environment.
• Fluent in English (reading; writing; speaking)
• Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a clear and visual way.
• Software knowhow is a plus: CCM+, JMAG, Matlab, …
