Your project:
Real Driving Emissions  (RDE) regulation  is enforcing the vehicle tailpipe emissions in  real-road driving conditions;  not only in  standardized  drive cycles.  This new regulation  brings significant challenges in the calibration of combustion engines.

Joining the Engine Calibration Team, you will contribute to improve the calibration process for RDE:
• Develop modeling tools to support the practical RDE calibration activities.
• In   collaboration   with   Simulation   Team,   proceed   to   identification   &   modeling   of   driver pattern/behaviors, identification & modeling of vehicle/powertrain/engine operation.
• Learn RDE test methodology and support practical evaluation at chassis-dynamometer & testing on-road. Analyse measured data, derive conclusions and propose improvement to the toolchain.

Your profile:
• Master student with good understanding of combustion engine operation technologies.
• You have a European EEA citizenship. (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium)
• You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
• Open personality and able to work independently in a multi-cultural business environment.
• Fluent in English  (reading; writing; speaking)
