Administrative Assistant Internship

We are looking for 3 motivated Administrative Assistants to join our team at the Vienna Master of Arts in Applied Human Rights at the University of Applied Arts Vienna!

 

 

INTRODUCTION

The Vienna Master of Arts in Applied Human Rights was established in spring 2020 in reaction to present-day challenges generated by digitalization, globalization and neoliberalism. The Vienna Master of Arts in Applied Human Rights offers students an in-depth interdisciplinary education in the history, philosophy, politics, as well as legal dimension of the international human rights standards and their protection mechanisms by international organizations. The program also offers a practical applicability of artistic and cultural work in creating opportunities for promoting, protecting and implementing human rights.

REQUIREMENTS

  • We are looking for 3 interns from diverse fields, particularly from:
    • a communication/management or related field.
    • a law/political science/social sciences or related field.
    • an arts background or related field.
  • Good communication and writing skills in English (German as an asset)
  • Strong interest in human rights.
  • Interpersonal skills: communication, flexible, team player, creative, good management and organization skills.
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) / Social Media
  • Applicants must be able to receive a scholarship through the Erasmus+ Traineeships programme of their university.

 

TASKS

  • Seminar support, liaise between students, teachers and academic staff.
  • Administrative tasks, all kind of office support, monitoring, managing, file inventory
  • Curriculum development: create positive improvements in courses offered by university and provide feedback of the courses and lectures.
  • Organizational support of various meetings, events and trips.
  • Communicative support: social media presence, writing blogs, marketing
  • Research support in the intersection of human rights and arts

Deadlines:

For the applications, the final deadline is on 23 June 2021.
We will start to screen the applications immediately and we contact potential candidates already during the application period.

First round of interviews: 24-25 June 2021

Second round of interviews:  1 July 2021

Final decision: by 9 July 2021

The internship will be held in-person in Vienna, Austria. The starting date will be between 1 August-1 September and lasts for six months. We are flexible with the exact beginning date.
