General information
Our lab is amply experienced in the training of researchers at different levels and from several countries. In particular, we have previously hosted Erasmus students both undergraduated and graduated. In our lab we would provide internship students with training in the most common biomedicine protocols and analytical tools. These capabilities could be of use in the vast majority of biomedical laboratories. Additionally, we would provide advanced training in the study of metabolism, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and non-alcholic fattty liver disease. Our current research interests are focused on the identification and validation of biomarkers with diagnostic and prognostic value in pathological contexts where metabolic dysfunctions play a fundamental role, including cancer. To that end, we collaborate with clinicians and biotechnology-based companies, aim to transform our research into social and economic value
