General information
The Creative Centre was established in 2011 when a group of people acquired the abandoned Fish Factory of the village, with the aim of transforming it into a thriving place of creativity, music and craftmanship. The Centre is located in Stöðvarfjörður, a remote village in the East fjords of Iceland, approximately 650 km from Reykjavík. This is an ongoing collaborative and community project and our actions and aims are based on sustainable principles and alternative methods. The Centre offers a Residency program and frequently hosts Concerts, Exhibitons and other Cultural activites.
We are looking for a person to assist with the management of our Residency program. The job requires office skills; answering emails and manage bookings, sending out invoices, promoting the residency and updating our webpage with photos and blog. Part of the job is to make interviews with our Residency artist, and therefore video editing skills are required. We are looking for a person with good organizational skills and the abiltiy to work independently, maintaining an overview of his/her tasks with professionalism. For this internship it is nessesary to have a valid international driving license. The intern will become a part of the tight-knit Team of the Creative Centre and wil be able to use the facilites of the Centre for his/her personal projects during the stay. We value any kind of creativity in people and believe it is an important part of what we do.
