Assistant in English

We are a primary school with children aged 3 to 11 divided into 9 classes. We are located in Hazebrouck (North of France), which is a city of 22,000 where you can find a cinema, a bowling, many shops and supermarkets and connected to Paris and Lille directly via the train network.

It will be the first experience with the Erasmus programme, but our teachers are extremely motivated by the project and ready to integrate a student in the team. Your accommodation (100€ per month) is located in the city.

During the training period, you will be asked to :

•assist in teaching English to our pupils (3-11 years old)

•work on the school projects, especially music (being a musician yourself would be a bonus)

•introduce the culture of your country

The working hours are 8:30 - 11:30 am and 1:30 – 4:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (closed on Wednesday and at the weekend), which amounts to 24 hours a week – paid 3,80€ per hour (355€ per month). You will have the same holiday as the pupils (2 weeks in October, 2 weeks at Christmas, 2 weeks in February and 2 weeks in April).

The school is equipped with interactive whiteboards and books dedicated to learning English.

Your placement can start in our school from September to January, then you can switch to another school in Hazebrouck to finish the year.
