Assisting Guide/Activity Leader - French Speaking

We at Xwander Nordic offer authentic, custom-made tours and trips in Northern Finland and Norway, from day activities to multiday tours and are looking for trainees to join our team for 2022-2023 winter season. Our aim is to offer educational tours, trainings and camps for people interested in nature & outdoors. We are looking for someone with excellent skills of communication, open mind and enthusiasm for outdoors.

We are working with a French tour operator Evaneos and this position would cover assisting in sales & communication with the tour operator as well as guiding & assisting groups in destination. Depending on number of french groups, work may include guiding other activities during the weeks, for which the applicant would need decent level of english as well. (Also for communication with rest of the team). 

Work during winter season requires flexibility and day/hours of work may vary depending on each week. On average we are expecting the applicant to be willing to commit to 3 to 4 days of work/week but have flexibilty during the busiest weeks. 

Work will be compensated based on your previous experience of work/studies and we are happy to assist you in finding a place to stay in Ivalo during your internship. No previous working experience from guiding or sales is needed, but we'd prefer students with a background from tourism & hospitality, communications and/or guiding studies.

We are open to offer internships from 2-4 months over the winter based on your availability.
