Description:
We have generated a novel preclinical rodent model of Parkinson's disease via overexpression of human alpha-synuclein using AAV vectors.
In the current project we aim to characterise animal behaviour using operant boxes, to determine deficits in attention, memory and movements. The student will get animal training and will learn to perform behavioural analysis. Depending on the duration of the internship, the student will also perform histopathological assessment of brain tissue for disease relevant proteins.
No previous knowledge is required.
