Business Development Representative

Scappman is a young and dynamic company that empowers people and companies to easily install and update applications that are managed with Microsoft Endpoint Manager. We are a SaaS company, have customers around the world and are located in the beautiful city of Antwerp. Companies choose us because we help them stay safe by keeping their application up to date, make their life simpler and we’re great fun to work with. 

Who we’re looking for? 

As a Business development representative you are developing new opportunities and business with new customers. You will be the first point of contact in finding and converting prospects. As Microsoft Tech Business Developer you are right between our marketing and sales and qualify leads. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who isn’t afraid to pick up the phone and reach out to people. 

How would a day look like as Microsoft Tech Business Developer @ SCAPPMAN  

You wake up at 08h00 or earlier if you have kids like one of our co-founders, Maarten. You'll arrive at the office around 09h00, or if you need to work from home that's also a possibility, it's ok if you hit the snooze button one more time. A hot cup of coffee will kickstart your day, or if you're not into that, we don't judge; we can get you a hot chocolate. At SCAPPMAN, we care about you, your health, and of course, results.   

You'll start your day by chatting with the marketing team (yes, already 2 people). They have already heated up some leads. It's up to you to take the following steps. The next steps would be reaching out, qualifying and disqualifying leads, and in the end, making sure those leads are hot enough to pass on to our Account Executive team.   

We're located in the beautiful city of Antwerp, the office has some incredible views of the city. There are many places you can go for lunch with the team during lunch. If your spouse prepares lunch best, you eat that; we don't want to create any trouble. We don't have many rules, there's one rule, but we'll leave that for the interview. Ideally, you would be a self-starter/intrapreneur that picks up things fast.   

After lunch, you'll reach out to our MSP (Managed Services Provider) partners to see if they maybe have new opportunities in the pipeline. This is an assumption, but you probably don't like to do a lot of admin work, so we created a nice flow in HubSpot. This makes it easier for you to report on your leads and pipeline. At the end of the day, the 1-rule will come to play, but as we said, let's discuss it during the interview.

Your main activities 

Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts and leads to create sales-ready meetings and opportunities. T

You will work closely with the Marketing team to set-up, automate and improve your learnings in generating qualitative leads and marketing content that sells. 

Handover qualified leads to the Account Executive team at an appropriate maturity status, initiating calls and face-to-face appointments with Account Executives 

Your skills 

• Prospecting expertise – cold-calling, cold emailing, discovery, qualification, active listening 

• Eager to learn Microsoft Technology 

• English is mandatory any other language is a plus. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to ‘win people over’ 

• Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills 

• The ability to be a self starter in a fast paced environment 

• Know your way in social media. 

• Highly organised and structured working style
