The person will be involved in all aspects of the marketing and business development activities, specifically related to the company’s Innovia department, which deals with laboratory work, and testing for the aquaculture sector.  More specifically during this internship the student will be requested to undertake tasks related to:

  • Business Development

Supporting the Business Development Team in all areas of the department including assisting on various projects in marketing and data research. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task, prioritize, and follow tight deadlines. The candidate would also preferably have a basic understanding on laboratory set-ups, biology, or veterinary sciences. This role would suit someone with a scientific background, looking to shift into a business development and sales role. 

  • Marketing

Support the marketing team by creating content for the company’s communication materials

Support the creation of a communication and marketing strategy for the department to enhance the presence of the company in the current market, and scope new clients and opportunities.

Write internal communication and be able to support the team on creating and executing the marketing strategy for Innovia

Accompany employees to client, sales, or other outside meetings; and take an observer role

Help screen and train replacement interns prior to departure.

The student will report directly to the Business Development Director, and the Technical Director of the company. The position is demanding and fast paced, requiring a candidate who is highly motivated, organised and methodical in their approach. Must have a can-do attitude, with an ability to work independently.
