Life Terra: Engaging European citizen to take climate action now

Life Terra's mission is to plant 500 million trees in Europe in an environmentally responsible way, one for every European. We involve children, adults and businesses to raise awareness about climate change and make a tangible contribution by planting trees together.  

Powerful pact

Life Terra is one of Europe’s largest climate action initiatives. It brings together 16 experienced organisations from 8 countries. The project is divided into different working groups: communication, education, implementation and technology.  The project is co-funded by the EU through their LIFE programme.

Your role

As a Life Terra communications intern you will be:

• Managing the content for the website

• Supporting our social media team by providing input and thinking along about social media formats

• Participating in planting events and collecting feedback from our participants in the planting events

• Preparing promotional materials

• Participating in marketing brainstorming sessions

• Writing copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral.

• Administrative duties such as keeping track of our press mentions and following up on our contact form 

• Of course you will also get the opportunity to plant trees yourself!

We are a fast-growing start-up so your responsibilities and tasks will be regularly evolving

Requirements

• Passion for the environment and motivation to fight climate change

• Strong communication skills 

• Self-starter with ability to work independently

• Advanced level of English, and native speaking in another language (preferably German)

• Additional Languages is a plus: French, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese or Dutch

• Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills is a plus

• Based in Barcelona

• Currently enrolled in a University (preferably working towards a degree in marketing, communications or a related field)

Offer

Full-time internship from Monday to Friday/ €400 per month / Start date – September / Duration minimum 6 months.
