  1. We can only host students that are currently studying in Europe and the ones that can use the Erasmus traineeship program or that have scholarships. ​
  2. It is a priority to be selected to have a proven experience in Graphic Design

Job duties and responsibilities:

WORK PURPOSE

Civil / structural design in the context of civil construction projects.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES

Within the civil department, he will support the Project Specialist Leader in the following activities:

· Structural modeling of buildings

· Structural calculations and relationships

· Development of drawings and construction details

· Development of metric estimates based on national and regional price lists

· Draws up specifications for sub-contracting activities

 

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

· Ability to work in teams in multicultural environments

· Problem solving skills and goal orientation

· Capability to work in a multicultural environment

· Knowledge of English preferred

Good knowledge of the main software packages (Word, Excel)

· Basic knowledge of Autocad

 

Knowledge of modeling and structural calculation software (Pro-SAP, STAAD, Midas etc.) and of computation (Primus etc.) and relevant applicable European legislation (Eurocodes etc.)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Degree in civil engineering - preferable structural course

  • Organization flight and transport to arrive directly in your Italian home!

During your Experience:

  • Workplan activities
  • Tutoring and monitoring
  • Weekly staff meeting
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week from Monday to Thursday. Friday is free!
  • Training activities: staff and students share knowledge and skills
  • Evaluation performance, certificates of participation, letter of recommendation
  • Italian Language Course till you will leave just for 30€ (participation it’s not mandatory)

AlterEdu is an innovative start-up born from many years of experience of the founders of the Association of Social Promotion “FuturoDigitale’’, which is a member of European Commission's Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, is at the forefront of the creation of Alternating School Work paths of the DL April 15th 2005, n. 77 - focused on the development of Social Innovation and also embracing issues such as Open Cohesion and Open Data. The internship will take place in Calabria, in the Municipality of Sersale, a beautiful historic center overlooking the Ionian Sea. Sersale is home to the Cupe Valleys, famous throughout Europe. In fact, it welcomes tourists from all over Europe but also from Russia and America for the unique trekking routes. A splendid trek within the Valli Cupe Regional Nature Reserve with different levels of difficulty, starting with tourist routes suitable for all age groups up to routes for expert hikers. These are real "journeys" in nature, in uncontaminated environments, in which visitors will be accompanied to the rediscovery of places full of charm, history and culture. Anyone who visits the Reserve will be amazed by the uniqueness of the dark valleys canyon, unique of its kind, by the diversity of the waterfalls, by the remains of old mills or by the majesty of centuries-old trees. Breathtaking is the suggestive and magical experience of the path of the falls at night. You just have to discover "the best kept secret in Europe".
