Description: 

 

We are looking for an intern / volunteer to work at our highly popular community project - Caldmore Community Garden. We are located in Caldmore, a highly diverse neighbourhood in Walsall, with a high percentage of Central and Eastern European migrants. 

 

Duties can include (depending on your background):

- helping run a holiday play scheme for children (focusing on creative activities, outdoor activities, Forest School, arts and crafts, environmental education)

- organising community events

- gardening and nature conservation

- marketing, social media and promotion

- community engagement, working with diverse communities

- helping run our community cafe.

 

We suggest the internship to take place over the summer - the dates are flexible. 2 months is a minimum, we are open to internships longer than 3 months.
