Which profile?

Volumes is a space of various activities and projects. More than a specific type of profile, we are looking for a person interested in the field of collaborative work and the movement of creative hubs in particular. The personal skills to develop during this internship are autonomy, flexibility, curiosity and open-mindedness, hospitality and the ability to move from theoretical topics to eminently practical functions. A B1 in French level is required. 

 

As part of the expansion of Volumes and the opening of new places, possibility of hiring is an option.

 

Which missions?

The space & event Manager will be the essential support for the daily life of the place and its community and will have the mission of making our place a friendly and pleasant working spaces. It also manages space rentals, workshops and hackathons organized by Volumes. He / she collaborates with the fixed team of four people. 70% of the mission is defined, 30 % will be defined together with the intern. 

 

  • Management & animation of the coworking space: (60% - 20h/w )

    • Welcome coworkers, partners and visitors

    • Ensure the proper functioning and quality of the spaces and services offered to coworkers and partners

    • Manage inventory and supply of consumables

    • Meet & connect members

    • Propose an improvement of existing organizational processes

    • Communicate internally about space events and daily live topics

    • Propose in-house events (thematic breakfasts, collaborative meals ...)

    • Make space tours

 

  • Management of space and events: (10% 4h/w)

    • Organize and planify event

    • Ensure the reception and smooth logistical functioning of events and privatizations

 

  • Project on improvements of collaborative space management* (30% 10h/w)

    • You spend 30 % of your time on a project related to your proper skills and interests in order to make Volumes a better place. We understand its management as a permanent beta situation that can always be improved through the creativity of its team. Possible subjects: Zero waste management, infographics, collaborative work sessions, inclusion… .

Work conditions?

Type of contract: Internship min. 4 - 6 months

Working time: 35h per week

2 days holidays / month

Compensation:

  • Financial compensation of  300,- Euro / month or accomodation

  • Erasmus funding (if eligible). We are a registered Erasmus+ organization.

  • Refund of urban transport card

  • Possibility of additional salaried hours during specific events

  • Access to resources and services from Volumes in the makerspace and foodlab for  an equivalent of 500 € HT

  • A free hot desk coworking station for 3 months after your internship, valid for 5 years
