About the Company

The Edit is an exciting new startup looking for developers to join our team and help us innovate the future of online retail. We want to transform the online marketplace by creating a new way of experiencing online shopping. It’s an exciting time to be part of the team. Having recently launched, we’re now on the look-out for a tech genius who can help us build the beta platform. We are in the midst of launching the company which will take place at Stockholm Design Week 2020 and are looking for interns who are driven, ambitious, willing to work from the ground up and wanting to actually learn what it takes to work in a creative startup.

If you are an ambitious, motivated and creative individual who is not afraid of responsibility and want to work on an actual project to develop a product from scratch then please apply!

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a talented and hungry digital intern who wants to join our exciting startup and be part of shaping a global product. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter, self-motivated, able to use their initiative and love to get stuck in. They will have experience in coding, web development, creating wireframes and a strong creative eye.

Responsibilities

  • Writing production quality HTML/CSS/Javascript

  • Implement tests and assist QA in delivering quality work

  • Creating and testing web pages, templates, layouts, wireframes etc, leading to the build of a functioning responsive website that can work across PC, tablet, mobile etc

  • Ability to build apps (desirable!)

Skills

  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS and Javascript

  • Wireframes

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • PHP, Python, Ruby, MySQL, PostgreSQL a plus

Who You Are

  • Team player who can take initiative and come up with solutions

  • A perpetual learner with a passion for iteration and improvement

  • Attention to detail and ability to work on fixed deadlines

  • Good eye for design and the finer details

  • Up for a new challenge and a positive attitude.

  • We are a very small team so we need someone who can work independently, with minimal supervision.

What We Can Offer:

At EDIT, we value our interns and try to give them the best experience possible. We do not hire Tea Makers, we are looking for interns who actually want to learn and understand what is expected of them in a real world situation, giving them the skills they need to enter professional employment. After the first month, we have an internship review and here we take into account what else you would like to learn and if we can support we will! We believe that internships are a two-way partnership, and try our best to support your needs as much as our own.

Please send the following:

  1. CV ( 2 A4 pages max)

  2. A portfolio of work, including URL’s of websites you have built.

Internships are available year-round, last a minimum of 3 months with flexible working hours.
