We are currently recruiting for a Credit & Collection Specialist to join the team in Amsterdam on a 6 or 12 month fixed term contract.

Job description

You will be joining our dynamic and driven Western European team. Based in Amsterdam part of a team of 30 you will be working among 4 colleagues; your scope will focus on Benelux. You will contribute to the overall KPIs of the European collection team. In this position, you are managing a portfolio of clients whom you will liaise with regarding payment of invoices. You like to analyse business cases and find tailored solutions. In this role, you will interact internally and externally across functions. Contacting customers and internal services to identify problem’s route and manage them in a timely and efficient manner. A high work ethic and professionalism allows you to appropriately represent the company to our customers. An analytical mindset and enthusiasm for cross functional interactions will allow you to greatly perform within the role. Responsibilities include managing and reviewing ageing reports, contacting business (B2B) clients regarding open and unpaid invoices, contributing to collections targets each month, individually and as a European team. You will also be negotiating payment plans where needed, requesting write offs of aged/small amounts, issuing reminder letters & statements when needed. As a Credit & Collection Specialist you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of the team and processes through various projects.

Qualifications

Who you are

 

  • You have previous experience in credit collection or a strong willingness to learn
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, in addition to Dutch or French
  • Cash Collection or Customer Service Experience is an asset
  • You are able to take initiative, think outside the box and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • You have previous experience working in an international environment
  • You have great organizational skills and ability to prioritize
