Description: 

Will work with the language teachers (English or Spanish speakers) or other staff according to the candidate’s profile (Sports, ITC, Trade, Environmental Studies, Science, Humanities, Arts, Engineering…. Etc)

Will be responsible for small groups of students (8).

-Assist teachers in a class to teach a foreign language (listening activities, flash cards, board games …) or any other topic related to the candidate’s Major subjects.

-Create teaching documents and extra curricular activities.

-Use the candidate’s skills & experience in languages to develop communication (participate in role plays…)

-Introduce arts and culture of the candidate’s native country.

-Lead discussion or debate groups on culture or current subjects.

-Encourage students to apply for work placements abroad, to pursue studies in a foreign university, and advise them for CVs & cover letters.

-Help to arrange study school trips; set up exchanges with European schools.

-Develop international relationships.

A medium-sized school 100 members of staff (50 teachers & 50 admin-services-technicians) 320 students from 15 to 22 years old (High School: 220 pupils from 5th Form to A. Levels College: 100 HND students) We are a vocational school specialized in horticulture: growing indoor and outdoor plants, landscape design and gardening, trade of horticulture products, environmental issues in water, forestry & conservation management. With a rugby team and a garden Centre! Numerous international projects conducted every year. The school has a Erasmus Charter ( ECHE) - 12 to 15 hours per week The time table can be flexible, allowing the candidate to join a French language preparation class. -Can stay in the school campus (free of charge) with meals provided 5 days a week (excluding week-ends and school holidays). - Addresses of students’ residences in Lyon will be provided. Lyon is easy to reach: 25 minutes by bus.

Good communication skill is necessary; ideally suited for a student (betwen 20 and 25 years old) who would like to become a teacher.
