Job Description:
This job opening requires an EU citezenship or an EU working permit.
As an Assistant to the Villas Manager the position based in Messonghi, Corfu. The job includes hands-on experience working into an all-around training within Reception, Guest relations, daily supervision of Hotel's Operations/Maintenance and online Marketing/Advertising. During the touristic season (May to October) the job will involve the following tasks:
Front Of House - Reception, Guest Relations, Reservations, Transfers (50% approx.) - Working in shifts throughout the day based on eight hours max per day. These can be day, evening, night, continuous and/or split shifts.
Hotel Operations (40% approx.) - Overseeing the daily cleaning services for achieving the high standards set to the cleaning staff. Make sure that the accommodations are ready and impeccable for new arrivals and throughout the customer experience, thus reporting and organizing the problem solving of any issues arising. Overseeing and maintaining the correct functioning of the private swimming pools and hot-tubs/jacuzzi.
Management & Marketing (10% approx.) - General Management, Marketing activities and Sales promotions - As part of the daily working routine you will be involved in Management reporting, Relations with Travel Agents, Marketing Research and Sales Promotions – in writing and oral. It will be expected that you will have a substantial contribution for the Business Strategy with your personal input.
The position is for a period of minimum 4 to 6 months (May – Oct) Working hours: 40 hours per week. 1 day off per week.
Candidate Requirements: Ideally you will be a College student or graduate in Business, Hotel and/or Tourism areas, Engineering etc. You are enthusiastic, extrovert, professional and you want to take a full responsible job position early in your in life combined with quality time during summer in the Island of Corfu, Greece.
Additional Requirements: 22 years old and above up to 40s.
Educational background in Tourism/Hotel, Management, Business, Economics and/or Marketing would be a plus. A keen communicator and confident on dealing with guests/customers. Be Proactive and Professional, yet with an open, friendly and flexible pleasant attitude to new professional experiences. Have Organizational and Time Management Skills. Your Language and Writing skills - English (Fluent). A second language at an advanced level will considered a plus: preferably in any of German, French, Russian or Italian. PC / MAC computer literacy. Good grasp of MS Excel, Word and Outlook. Adaptive to the new cultures: local and customers'

Remuneration: Salary + Bonus based on set Customer Satisfaction Quality Targets Social Security/Insurance
