Tech.eu is a news publication covering the European technology industry in-depth.
The team is based in Brussels, but is working with a team of freelance writers, developers and designers based across Europe.
Beside the tech.eu’s news publication side, we develop industry reports and participate in events.
The intern will work directly with the COO and will work remotely with our senior journalist/data analyst to offer support in:
-Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data analysis systems
-Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
-Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators .
-Creating insights through in depth analysis
-Interpreting data, analyzing results and providing ongoing reports
-Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
-Work with management team of tech.eu/COO to prioritize business and information needs
When needed, the intern would also be asked to support the management team of tech.eu/COO to complete business tasks in accountancy, marketing, customer management and reasearch.
If you have any experience on Python, Java, R, C, C++, and able to make analysis related to European technology please inform us.

In general: 'Lean' startup culture, working within a media company (powered by ads/B2B products)
Transitioning to research company (powered by direct revenues); working independently, you will learn who is who in the european tech ecosystem by using your analyst skills and our management team’s background & knowledge.

TECH_EU internships are not remunerated. The costs associated with internships must be borne by the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide financial assistance to its student; or by the individual, who will have to obtain financing for subsistence and make his or her own arrangements for travel, accommodation, etc.
Internship assignments vary in length, between two and six months, according to the availability and academic requirements of the intern, as well as the needs of TECH_EU. Assignments are available on a part-time and full-time basis throughout the year.
