Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious data scientist to gain practical skills working with this company that is leading the field in the manufacture of orthopaedic implants and patient aftercare applications. Mentored throughout, you will assist the lead Data Scientist in providing   accurate forecasting of product demand to ensure optimisation of the supply chain and efficiency of manufacturing processes. Working with the host in this niche market will provide a good all-round experience and an invaluable addition to your CV.

Analysing supply chain and manufacturing data sets
Accurate forecasting of demand across all product lines
Applying machine learning techniques
Developing effective algorithms
Using data to predict potential problems in the manufacturing process

Personal Skills
Studying for a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar
Programming skills in Python or R
An understanding of different types of statistical algorithms and their applications
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to spot areas where a data driven, or an automation process can help
Strong communication and presentation skills
