We are looking for a DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST Intern for our office in Malta.

Responsibilities

Support the Communication Manager in designing and implementing social media strategies

Manage tactical execution of digital and social media programming including content development, community management and influencer engagement through competitive research, messaging and audience identification

Generate, edit and publish content to appropriate social media channels in order to create brand awareness and to grow audience engagement

Develop, write, edit, and proof communications materials such as press releases, web stories, and blog posts

Support the Communication Manager in writing the new communication plan

Learn the branding and rebranding processes

Assist in communications support of organizational events

Learn some basic graphic design (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)

Generates and converts leads through marketing, advertising and search engine optimization

Monitor activity across social networking sites and blogs, and cultivate online relationships with target audiences

Offer creative insight to projects

Submit reports of marketing efforts
The UCM offers one 3-month to 12-month traineeship in the new office in Malta, that:
-
fully involves the trainee in a young and dynamic international working environment (full-time work, 36 hours per week);
-
gives the chance to the trainee to develop academic programmes and courses, and international projects related to higher education, international mobility, talents attraction and employability;

allow them to use part of their working time to learn more about a relevant field (such as project management, project development…)

develops the ability to work cross functionally across teams: project management, communication with relevant stakeholders, event organization, marketing, communications, promotion

using financial support through Erasmus+ Traineeships is encouraged
Qualifications and Requirements

High motivation, willingness to learn and to work with constructive criticism, responsible, proactive attitude

Organizational and communication skills and ability to work both in a team and independently

Written and spoken English (additional languages, particularly Italian and/or Maltese, are a plus)
