GARI's Bi-Weekly Digest: Last Week on Earth is launching and looking for editors and coordinators!

GLOBAL CALL FOR EDITORS AND COORDINATORS FOR GARI’S BI-WEEKLY DIGEST ON THE INTERSECTION OF TECHNOLOGY & SOCIAL TOPICS

 

The Global Arena Research Institue is looking for motivated and knowledgeable students who want to stay up-to-date on developments in the realms of research, innovation, technology & the social sciences (politics, the economy, finance, development, business and more).​

This position is for a minimum of 3 months, however we prefer long-term candidates (6-12 months) who can also stay for the duration of the Next 100 Symposium (26 - 27, May 2021): https://www.next100symposium.org 

 

 

Research & Articles like:

  • The state of research and innovation in Europe 

  • Latest trends in emerging technologies and how politics can keep up

  • Suggestions for a progressive way forward

  • Technology & Social Sciences jokes

 

Whom we want to take on:

 ​

  • Editor

    • Classic bi-weekly digest editor, putting together the pieces, editing the writing and balancing the topics and areas of review, fact checker

  • Coordinator

    • Will coordinate the researchers, writers, deadlines, topics and logistical procedures for publishing and outreach, as well as our readers.

 

Criteria 

  • Masters or PhD level, we will accept Bachelor level if the candidate is exceptional

  • Areas of Technology, Science, Research, EU policy, Politics, International Relations, Globalisation, Geopolitics

  • A strong sense of cross-disciplinarity, English language, interest & knowledge in multiple fields

  • We are looking for someone who will dedicate a minimum of 10 hours a week for research and writing

 Process 

 

  1. We will strongly favour candidates with a prior interest in both subjects of technology and social sciences.

  2. After an initial evaluation, we will ask the candidate to deliver a piece on a given subject in which they have edited or coordinated on.

  3. The third stage of evaluation is an online video interview.
