The Bauhaus International Short-Term Programmes Team is currently looking for an (Erasmus+) intern to join the team at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

The intern will be part of the Bauhaus Short Term International Programmes Team as an assistant, working closely with staff and students and helping in the organization, execution and evaluation of the Bauhaus Spring School in March, Intro Bauhaus in June and Bauhaus Summer School in August. 

The Bauhaus Short Term International Programmes are 

  •  The Bauhaus Spring School

This is a new international blended programme (Erasmus Blended Intensive Courses) for students from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and from its partner universities. All Spring School courses have an online part and a 10 days in-class phase in Weimar.

  • Intro Bauhaus

In this blended format participants will learn intensively German language and can participate in a wide range of different classes and workshops to get to know the university. The participants are high school students at the age of 15 to 19 who would like to deepen their German language knowledge and start their studies in Germany. 

  • The Bauhaus Summer School

This is the oldest international programme of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. For more than 20 years we welcome around 400 people from over 60 different countries each August. They are taking part in specialised or language courses of 2 weeks in duration and benefit from a wide cultural accompanying programme. A vibrant campus with a lot to do and a lot of fun!

Bauhaus Summer School internship at a glance:

  1. Responsibilities: supporting the team with preparation and the execution of the Bauhaus Spring School and Summer School 2023
  2. Duration of the internship: approx. 6 months, shorter and longer internships are possible
  3. Possible internship period: starting from January (or March at the latest)
  4. Working hours: 30-40 hours/week
  5. Application: Please send your motivation letter, CV and Bachelor’s Certificate.
  6. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, Erasmus+ grant holder, good German and English skills


It’s good to know that…

  • the intern position is full time resp. 30h/weekly from Monday to Friday.
  • the internship starts in January, February or March (at the latest) and takes approx. 6 months.
  • your application is very welcome if you are a Master’s student who receives in the best case a grant under the Erasmus+ programme. Please apply for this through your home university.
  • the Bauhaus Summer School offers a free German Language course. Additional financial support can be discussed.
