Description:

Gifting is part of our culture. Sadly, it is also wasteful and bad for the planet. Our world demands to change the way we give. As a gift company, we should be the first to comply. We are deeply connected with our goal to inspire positive change throughout the industry.

As an ESG intern for our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) team you can be part of our journey, helping to make that positive change; Changing the way we give. Doesn’t that sound great? As of September 2023, we are looking for an enthusiastic ESG intern for our main office in Rijswijk (the Netherlands)

If you want to gain experience in an international business environment, XD Connects offers you excellent opportunities!

Writing your thesis at XD Connects means that you will be part of an informal and professional team. You will learn more about our products and services and of course, more in specific, about our ESG department and the topic you are writing about. For this internship, we are looking for a third year or final year student who wants to do research on an ESG topic. We would love to hear your specific area of interest and together we will determine if we see a match with new or running ESG projects.

What are our ESG ambitions?

Founded in 1986 as Xindao B.V., we rebranded to XD Connects in 2022 to better reflect our ambition to drive positive change. We are committed to doing business in a way that is conscious of people and planet.

In 2022, we updated our ESG ambitions leading up to 2030. Part of this exercise was defining our scope and priorities. There are three key areas where we look to make positive change as a business: emissions, human rights, and transparency. These areas of change are also reflected in our strategic pillars:

  • Make a long-term positive impact by offering lower-impact gifts.
  • Lead by example in the supply chain. Act with integrity by improving ESG issues throughout our entire supply chain.
  • Report on our progress in a clear and transparent way.

Our ESG department currently has four employees: The ESG director, who you will report to, an ESG Officer, an Environmental Officer and a LCA Specialist. For more information and inspiration, you can also visit our ESG website.
