ECIT (European Citizens, Involvement, trust) is renewing its young task force and is therefore looking for motivated students to join the team in Brussels for an internship funded by Erasmus+ or a university programme for a minimum duration of 6 months.
More specifically, this offer is aimed at hiring someone who specialises in communicating with with the press, but who also knows how to communicate externally in a more general way by writing blog articles or communicating with a community on social networks.

 
Profile essentials:

  • Being enrolled in a Master's degree programme in Communication studies

  • Knowledge of EU institutions and decision-making processes;

  • Knowledge of civil society organizations and government structure;

  • Good written and oral communication skills in English

  • Multitasking;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Social Media Communication knowledge;

  • Proactive and motivated.

 

Main tasks:
Under the guidance of ECIT Founder Tony Venables, successful candidate will be asked to carry out ECIT's daily activities, including:

  • Launch and campaign for Voters Without Borders: a European Citizens Initiative demanding full political rights for European citizens on the move https://voterswithoutborders.eu/ ;

  • Building coalition partners to campaign transnationally on the issue of political rights;

  • Supporting the team in administrative and fundraising activities;

  • Supporting the communication strategy and the management of our social media and website.

 

What we offer:
ECIT is located in the heart of the European Quarter, 100 meters from the European Parliament. We share a large resource centre for organisations campaigning to make the EU more democratic.
We offer an attractive working environment with young professionals and students coming from all over Europe, and the opportunity to make useful contacts which should be useful both to make the internship enjoyable and for one's future career.
 
Interns are not financially remunerated by the Foundation. The student will have to be financed by a scholarship or financial support at EU level.
However, ECIT will provide additional support (travel expenses to take part in events and work-related expenses).
A likely start date could be agreed with the trainee, but ideally not later than the end of June/beginning of July so that we can transfer our knowledge from one task force to another.
