Because you will have to …

  • host (local) events, online & offline. Therefore you need to be organized and be able to prioritize and multitask. As an event manager, you are the coordinator and driver of the event.
  • to communicate with all kinds of people from all walks of life. You have to get along with them all to ensure the success of your events and you will never get worked up or act rude. Therefore, you need to be tactful.
  • be innovative and detailed. For a great event manager, it's not enough to do it just like last time, and it's not satisfying to mimic the competition. You dare to be different and are a true influencer in the industry. Every requires special attention and a personal touch.
  • be very flexible and adaptive to keep up, because everything moves and changes so quickly. You’re able to make decisions, to stay calm (don’t panic!) and be creative to come with a plan B, C or X if needed.
