General information
This internship is aimed at students and graduates who are interested in gaining experience in an international environment. You will learn about business administration and tourism while getting an insight into the running of a language school. Previous finance/accounting experience is a plus!
We are looking for someone who can start between the end of March - end of May and stay for 4 to 6 months.
The finance intern will provide support to the school's finance department by preparing invoices, keeping track of school spendings, following up on student payments and much more! You would also be working closely with other departments, like admissions, front of house/reception and social programme/groups.
You would learn about our SAM system, where we input all students and their payments, you will keep track of invoices, receipts, transactions, etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Processing purchase Invoices

Maintaining the debtors & creditors ledgers

Preparing and reconciling of monthly bank accounts

Preparing, calculating and posting of monthly journals including accruals and prepayments

Calculating deferred income on a monthly basis

Analysing and posting of petty cash

Compensation and benefits:
Salary: €800 per month basic pay
Accommodation: 2 free weeks in a host family homestay. If you would like to extend your stay this would be €170 / week including breakfast and dinner thereafter.
In addition to this, you're more than welcome to take part in our part-time evening language classes that happen twice a week throughout your stay and you can sit a Cambridge Exam for free as long as it doesn’t interfere with your working hours.
There is also a 50% discount for our paid social programme activities.
