General information
The Willink School is a successful comprehensive school ideally located in the English county of Berkshire, near Reading and only 60 miles away from London, a 30 minutes ride by train. Our school is generally oversubscribed and very popular with local students as we are a school with the International award label with great focus on Modern Foreign Languages. We are also using the target language in our lesson and we have regular visits from other partner school observing outstanding practice. We are always looking for Foreign Language assistants for our 4 languages that we teach, Spanish, French, German and Mandarin. If you are interested, we would be very happy to send you an internship offer .
The internship entails :- A 3 to 6 month work experience with us at The Willink school . We are very flexible and you could join us in September of October 2023 or later in 2024 if you wished and have longer stay if required.- The opportunity to have flexible hours, although the school day is generally from 9am to 3pm.- The opportunity to be working with professional teachers and helping with the language content in lesson.- The support of a mentor who can help with guidance and general support.- Working with 6 formers in small groups or one to one sessions.- The opportunity to take part in extra curricular activities and to run clubs.
Although this is an unpaid position you will be offered incentives such as financial help with transport to and from school. Should you have any projects or research work with your university, you would also be more than welcomed to carry out your research in school.Please note however that this is not a teaching post and you will not be expected obviously to teach large group of students.Please do get back to me with any questions and if you are interested in this post, please let me know as I will be able to send you our offer.
