Description: 

The internship tasks will combine field campaigns in northwestern Spain with data processing and analysis. The trainee will be working on regional and national research projects looking at (i) continuous forest inventory; (ii) forest growth and yield modeling; and (iii) assessment of sustainable forest management in biomass stocks, stand structure and soil properties. Field duties will involve plot measurements with conventional techniques and proximal sensing technologies (Terrestrial Laser Scanner and ForeStero). Office work will consist in data processing and analysis; as well as statistical modeling and/or R programming for those trainees interested.

Additional Information

Requirements demanded: total availability to travel during field campaigns, including weekends sometimes. Finance internship: internship includes accommodation, transport and lunch vouchers during field campaigns (probably most of the time in some periods). The rest of the costs are not included.
