Actif is a startup, born in February 2021, focused on the health and well-being of older adults and people with special conditions. Our mission is to promote a more active and healthy life through our video on demand platform with exercises and activities adapted to the different physical and cognitive abilities of each one.

Are you a interested in gaining skills as a full-stack developer? Maybe this internship is for you! 

In this role, you will be:

  • Following up on development cycles and implementing our product and software's designed components and features.

  • Deliver software in a quality that you & other developers would love to use.

  • Demonstrate an interest in working with best practices and principles while contributing to them to keep high quality standards and keep hell far away

  • Create developer-friendly documentation of the solution.

  • Collaborating closely with team members

  • Key Technologies: TypeScript, Vue.js, Node, Express

  • Database: MongoDB

  • Continuous /Continuous Deployment: GitHub Actions, Cypress

  • Cloud: Google Cloud, Firebase Suite and Digital Ocean

What we look for:

The role requirements below indicate what we’re looking for - sometimes, the perfect candidate is far more or less experienced than anticipated. If you think that might be your case, please let us know!

  • Understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts

  • Experience in VueJS or similar frameworks 

  • Willingness to learn Typescript, Vue.js & NuxtJS, and TailwindCSS.

  • Knowledge of design patterns & clean code principles (e.g. KISS, DRY, SOLID).

  • Understanding of Unit, integration and end-to-end testing using Cypress or other testing tools.

  • Experience with NoSQL databases

  • Understand the benefit of our solution and wish to contribute positively to society through technology.

  • Fluency in English. Portuguese or another language is a plus but optional.

  • Sports and healthy habits enthusiast.
