Description: 

As a Gallery Assistant intern at BcmA, your responsibilities will include overseeing the recruitment process for internships and assisting our Art Historian/Cultural Manager and space directors in preparing and gathering information for our events and exhibitions.

Primary tasks include:

  • Preparing and advertising various internship roles
  • Screening and evaluation of potential candidates
  • Coordination of interviews and assessments/candidate tasks
  • Reference and background checks
  • Manage candidate relations (engage with candidates to establish positive interactions and foster long-term connections on current and new Erasmus platforms)
  • Tracking and reporting on candidates
  • Onboarding new interns
  • Assisting in the organization of BcmA activities
  • Assisting in gallery operations and maintenance
  • Assisting in the management and installation of the artworks
  • Assisting in collecting information for the promotion of events and space activities
  • Keeping in contact with the artists involved in the exhibitions/events
  • Supporting the marketing of the space activities
  • Administrative tasks
  • Relationship management with the team colleagues, artists and the public

Skills required:

  • Background studies in one of the following fields or similar: HR Management/Psychology/Art History/Art Management
  • Excellent interpersonal, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication in both written and spoken English
  • Passion for contemporary art and art in general
  • Positive attitude and desire to learn
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with professionals
