This internship is hosted by a grass-root, artist-run, organization. This context allows for greater engagement with the local artists’ community and encourages peer-to-peer dialogue and exchange of ideas. This opportunity is an unpaid position that offers meaningful, career-related experience, offers a great professional development within the arts, it will suit a recent graduated to develop their skills and expand their resume, integrating academic learning with development through professional experiences and help the applicant to expand their knowledge, experience, contact base and chances of future career success.

Your role as an intern will involve:

  • Assistance in planning graphic designs, design and execution of print advertising and layouts;
  • Close cooperation and assistance with our marketing;
  • Photographing during events and editing photos;
  • Technical assistance and installation and dismantling of event technology.

The intern will have supervision, guidance, and autonomy in working within our projects and will be supported by a mentor. For longer internships, it will have the opportunity to develop projects with other artists, managers, and research staff.

Language requirements: Good knowledge of English language and willingness to learn Portuguese.

The internship can be extended to six months.
