Biomika Multimedia Studio is a startup company located in the beautiful Ljubljana, nominated European Green Capital in 2016. We produce digital products for children and adults, aiming to build more vital social values and ethics. The main keywords regarding our projects are education, meditation, and compassion. We are looking for an intern who would like to collaborate on StarKid Universe, a project devoted to creating meditation stories for children. The stories are a fusion of fairy tales and breathing exercises. Visually they are represented by puppets, recorded on video, and enriched with 2D animation.

The project is rich with illustrations, storytelling, and mindfulness content. We are looking for experienced creatives that could work with our visual identity, yet still contribute their own uniqueness to the project. The artist will be chosen upon their previous work (do not forget to add your portfolio in the application form below). We are looking for a disciplined and artistic person with a firm grasp of adequate software.

Job Description:

• Create visuals for our website, develop brand identity, and ensure consistent design
• Assist in developing both digital and printable materials for the project (layout of books, brochures, digital stories etc.)
• Prepare illustrations for printing, creating layouts
• Develop Social Media brand identity and visual consistency
• Design new digital products and materials, including illustrations, videos, and text.
• It is a great plus if you would like to also post your designs to our social media and create content.

Keywords: collaborative, knowledgeable, reliable, detail-oriented, flexible, working knowledge of color, texture, and light.

Requirements:

• Erasmus internship grant
• Degree in graphic design, illustration, fine arts, or related fields is desired
• A strong portfolio of previous work and completed projects
• Experience with designing materials specifically for printing
• Creating different social media posts, video intros, product branding etc. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to fulfill project demands
• Significant attention to detail and patience to work carefully and efficiently
• Receiving feedback from directors, animators, and project managers and editing your creations based on the comments received
