Erasmus students can benefit from various departments of Selcuk University and they can study at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Economics. The Department of Agricultural Economics was established in 1982, and started its master education in 1991 and started its PhD education in 2012. Department of Agricultural Economics continues its activities in two different disciplines, namely, Agricultural Management Discipline and Agricultural Policy and Extension Discipline. The members of department give lectures as Agricultural Economics, General Economics, Business Planning and Management, Project Preparation and Evaluation, Management of Agricultural Industries, Agricultural Finance, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Accounting, Agricultural Policy, Econometrics, Agricultural Law, Cooperatives, Village Sociology, Agricultural Extension and Communication. In addition to departmental courses, Field Crops, Horticulture, Plant Protection, Animal Nutrition, Agricultural Technology, Food Science and Technology, Landscape Architecture, Soil Science are given from other departments. In addition to education and training, research studies that contribute to national and regional agricultural development and science are carried out systematically and in a planned manner.

The Department of Agricultural Economics currently has 181 undergraduate, 76 master and 16 PhD students, and continues its teaching and scientific activities with 3 professors, 1 associate professor, 2 assistant professors and 1 research assistant. A total of 768 scientific studies, including 138 international refereed journals and 220 international papers, have been conducted by the faculty members of the department.

Within the scope of the Erasmus program, the Department of Agricultural Economics provides education and research opportunities to students. In this context, it is planned that the students who qualify for the Erasmus training course program will be assigned by the Faculty Members of the Department of Agricultural Economics in the Scientific Research Projects of public institutions and universities. For the students, surveys, data collection and analysis, scientific study training, field studies can be carried out in integration with other departments. In addition, the introduction of the sector and the rural area will be provided by visiting relevant institutions and organizations and visiting agricultural enterprises. On the other hand, workshops, congresses, symposiums etc. organized by the faculty members in related fields. academic activities will contribute to the development of students.

There are physical space and research facilities owned by the Department of Agricultural Economics. For the use of Erasmus program students; There are 1 meeting room, 3 scholarship study rooms in the Department. In addition, there are 1 central library, 1 accommodation building, 3 dining halls with a total capacity of 4000 people, 2 shopping centers and 1 Faculty of Medicine within the Selcuk University.
