Intern at DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCE

The Department of Animal Science of Agriculture Faculty of Selcuk University besides an active internship program, which is mandatory (40 working days) for own undergraduate students, offers  internship to Erasmus students, research opportunities to graduate students and applied training chance to academic visitors. The academic research team of the Department of Animal Science conducts researches that enabling experience to participants on animal nutrition and feeds, animal breeding, or biometric and genetic in the application and research facility (Prof. Dr. Orhan Düzgüneş application and research facility), and in the laboratories of the faculty. With the scientific researches carried out within the animal science department, the participants have the chance to experience the analysis of feed and feed ingredients, egg and meat quality criteria, hatchability parameters, or genetics and biotechnology in laboratories. Bovine, ovine, broiler, laying hens, and quail breeding units in application and research facility of the Animal Science department provides to students or academic visitors to take part in animal experiments conducted within the scope of ongoing projects. Furthermore, interns or visitors have the opportunity to experience the formulation and preparation of diets to be used in animal experiments with the mixed feed unit in the application and research facility. The Department of Animal Science has the potential which may provide research and education opportunities to internship program students and academic visitors who participate in ongoing projects to experience all process of scientific studies in animal production.
