Established in the year 2003 – based at Chitkara University Punjab - Chitkara College of Education aims to provide an exemplary stepping stone to the budding teachers’ future success through a concrete grounding in requisite skills and knowledge, which is channelized towards striving for teaching excellence and for creating exceptional leaders to transform the education realm. B.Ed. studies program has been designed to prepare Educators for the 21st-century schools in collaboration with leading K-12 North India schools. Altering the DNA of an ∝lpha Teacher was envisioned to the growing concern that teacher education program has remained unchanged in terms of substance, experiences offered and modalities adopted. The entire curricula of the B.Ed. program has been redesigned in order to alter the DNA of existing teachers so that they can cater to the diverse needs of the 21st-century learners. With this scope in mind, B.Ed. curricula is executed in symbiosis with Chitkara International School, acknowledged as one of the best school in Chandigarh in providing global environment and quality education – inspiring minds of staff and students. In cooperation with a dense network of European and Indian partner universities,Chitkara College of Education is actively involved in the European Commission Erasmus+ program. The international internship programme is run in cooperation with Chitkara Spaak Centre for Multidisciplinary European Studies.
Internship profile and responsibilities:
As international intern at Chitkara College of Education, you are expected to spend one academic year (10 months) in Chandigarh, being an active actor in the implementation – and development – of teaching activities and events’ management. You will gain specific expertise in education in the Indian context, while being encouraged to propose innovative activities/practices from your native edu-social background. You would be in the conditions to express your talents, while enhancing your skills. As an intern you would have flexibility in terms of working schedule and working days.
Minimal requirements’ for interested candidate:
- Have completed postgraduate studies in Education, or related studies area.
- English at native fluency level, with excellent communication skills.
- Study/work experience outside India.
- High levels of motivation and challenges-driven.
- Ability to work in teams in a new socio-cultural environments.
Additional skills considered as valuable assets:
- Prior experience – practical exposure - in teaching and/or educational management.
